Clair Brand ACII (Associate Director) - Clair has been with Branko since 2003 and leads the consultancy team and is also the author of the industry-leading BIBA Compliance Manual. Clair served as a Board Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute from 2007 to 2013 and is the current president of the Insurance Institute of Royal Tunbridge Wells (and holds a CII Exceptional Service Award). She works with our larger clients and actually enjoys working with the Perimeter Guidance Sourcebook (PERG). Clair joined Branko from National Provident where she spent 19 years in senior departmental roles and is ACII qualified and holds chartered status.

Katharine James MA (Hons) - Katharine first worked with Branko in 1999 when both of them were at PwC undertaking ABI and then GISC broker audits. Following that Katharine spent time at KPMG and GISC. She then moved to the FSA for 4 years where she was a supervisor in the Retail Firms Division. She undertook many ARROW assessments and thematic projects, including leading the Client Money project. Since leaving the FSA, Katharine has been a Senior Consultant at Branko Ltd. She has helped a number of firms ensure that they are FSA Compliant and continues to provide advice and training to firms now that they are supervised by the FCA.

Marie Pinnington BA (Hons) - Marie also first worked with Branko in 1999 when both of them were at PwC undertaking ABI and then GISC broker audits and has spent a total of 7 years at PwC in Risk Assurance Services. She has detailed experience in helping large, blue chip organisations to meet their reporting requirements and has an extensive IT and training background.

David Thompson FCIS, Cert CII - David started working at the FSA in 2005 and was immediately able to put his knowledge of the mortgage and insurance market to good use through supervision case work as he has actually worked as a mortgage and insurance broker. David was a key member of the TCF assessment team and personally conducted over 250 reviews and more recently he has been carrying out Business Risk assessments. He has worked closely with BIBA to discuss current issues and is well connected with many in the mortgage and insurance world and also professional and trade bodies. David is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and was chair of the Scotland Network for six years.
